Volunteer Board Member
Mid-Main is a non-profit community health centre located in the heart of Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. We offer integrated, team-based primary care and dental services to over 9,000 patients through nearly 30,000 visits annually. Our primary care clinic includes full-scope family medicine, nurse practitioner care, registered nursing, and an on-site pharmacy. We also operate a growing dental program and a child development program supporting new parents through the ‘Parents as Teachers’ program.
We are looking for new board members who are passionate about transforming the future of primary care. Intake for new board members takes place in September 2026, and the application deadline is May 1, 2026. Please submit your expression of interest to board@midmain.net. The Board Nominating Committee will review expressions of interest on an annual basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a brief virtual interview. Board Commitment
• Board term: 3 years, renewable
• Monthly board meetings (in person, with virtual option as needed)
• Participation in at least one board committee
• Engagement in board development and planning activities
Who We Are Looking For We’re looking for values-aligned leaders energized by the opportunity to transform the future of primary care as part of an active and committed board of directors. We welcome individuals with diverse perspectives and lived experience, and especially encourage candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Quality improvement, performance indicators, and accountability
• Communications, government and public relations, and/or community engagement
• Clinical experience in dentistry/oral health or primary care—with a priority on experience
integrating health and social care
