Position Overview
Bloom Collective is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Secretary to join our Board of Directors. This volunteer role supports governance, record-keeping, and communication across the organization. Responsibilities include attending monthly Board meetings, participating in committees, and ensuring accurate, compliant documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Working or has worked in the cannabis industry
- Prepare Board meeting agendas with the Chairs.
- Record and distribute minutes for Board meetings and the AGM.
- Maintain the Board calendar and governance timelines.
- Maintain Board Member registry, including appointment dates, terms, and bios.
- Serve as custodian of organizational records and ensure compliance.
- Act as registered agent for notices and required filings.
- Maintain updated bylaws and governance materials.
- Provide administrative support to committees.
Requirements
- Uphold Bloom Collective’s bylaws.
- Attend monthly Board meetings.
- Participate in at least one working committee.
- Commit ~6–10 hours per month.
- Strong written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Prior non-profit or charity experience.
- Experience in the legal cannabis industry
- Governance or administrative support experience.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
