About us

NUTMEG Soccer is a grassroots, not for profit that runs free soccer and social development programs for children aged 6 to 12 years old in the summer and winter. Our mission is to provide free, fun, safe and quality soccer training and educational sessions for underserved children and youth in Toronto, while providing development opportunities for volunteers.

What you will do

Director

• Participate in board meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
• Provide leadership and guidance to committee focused on volunteer coach recruitment and outreach.

Director & Committee Members

• Ensure the organization has recruited sufficient volunteer coaches to run programming.
• Collaborate with marketing and programming committees.
• Help volunteers obtain police check (i.e., Vulnerable Sector Check) & connect volunteers to internal communication platform (i.e., Slack).
• Support the organization's mission and strategic objectives.

What we are looking for

• Commitment to the organization's mission (required).
• Experience in leadership roles, preferably within non-profit or sports organizations (required for Director).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required).
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and outreach (optional).
• Ability to commit time and energy to activities and meetings (required).

Place of work / Location

• This is a volunteer position, and meetings may be held virtually or at designated locations as needed.
