Unpaid Volunteer Position

Celiac Canada seeks nominations for three (3) vacancies on its National Board of Directors for the June 2026–June 2028 term. Nominations close February 13, 2026.

This is an opportunity for passionate leaders to help shape the future of Celiac Canada and advocate for Canadians living with celiac disease.

Key Responsibilities

Directors provide governance oversight, strategic input, and financial stewardship. They attend up to four (4) virtual meetings and two (2) in-person weekend meetings annually, participate in fundraising and networking initiatives, and serve on committees or lead projects (approx. 2–3 hours/month).

Board Vacancies to Fill, three (3)

1. Scientific and Medical Expert

  • Deep understanding of celiac disease.
  • Will serve as Board liaison for the Cure strategic pillar.

2. Governance and Change Management

  • Skills in organizational change, governance best practices, and process improvement.
  • Skills in Relationship Building: Experience fostering collaboration and serving as a liaison between a national organization and its local chapters or affiliates, strengthening alignment and engagement.

3. Revenue Generation / Fundraising

  • Proven ability to generate revenue and build partnerships.
  • Strong business connections and networking ability.
  • Big-picture thinker who can help open doors.
