Call for Applications - Board Members
The Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education (“the Foundation”) is a registered charity whose mission is to provide financial assistance to engineering students in Ontario. Established in 1959, the Foundation has funded over $4,000,000 in scholarships for students in accredited engineering programs in Ontario. You can learn more about the Foundation here: https://engineersfoundation.ca/

The Foundation is governed, managed, and operated by an 11-member volunteer Board of Directors, supported by a part-time Administrator. Committees have been established to address fundraising, awards, marketing & communications, and governance. It is a “working Board” and individual Board members serve on one or more of the committees to enable the Foundation to carry out its work.

The Foundation’s Annual Meeting will be held on May 12, 2026, and will include elections to fill four positions on the Board. The Foundation is looking for people who are interested in joining the Board for a three-year term. The Board meets virtually approximately eight times each year, with each committee doing the same. Meetings are generally held in the evening and run for about 90 minutes to two hours. Between meetings, Board members can expect to be spending approximately 10 hours per month on Foundation work.
