🎭 Volunteer Bartender – Be Part of the Drama at Alumnae Theatre! 🍷

Love live theatre? Want to be at the heart of the action and behind the bar? Alumnae Theatre Company is looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Bartenders to join our Front of House team for the upcoming season!

This is more than just pouring drinks, it’s a chance to connect with Toronto’s vibrant arts community, meet theatre-makers and audiences, and be part of something magical.

What You’ll Get:

• A fun, social, and engaging role — no two nights are the same!
• Free admission to performances
• A chance to meet creatives, performers, and fellow theatre lovers
• On-the-job experience for your resume, which is perfect for students, emerging artists, and community members
• A welcoming team, mentorship, and professional references
• Support to complete your Smart Serve certification (required for the role)

What You’ll Do:

• Set up, serve, and close the bar before and during performances
• Provide a friendly and responsible customer service experience
• Handle drink sales (mostly cashless) and maintain cleanliness of the space
• Help create an enjoyable and safe experience for our patrons

The Details:

• Shifts are mostly evenings and weekends, Wednesday through Sunday
• A minimum commitment of 2 shifts per production
• Smart Serve required — we’ll help you get certified if needed
• No prior experience necessary — just bring a positive attitude and team spirit!
