Volunteer Opportunity: Make a Difference at Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre
Are you passionate about helping others and making a meaningful impact in your community? The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre (GBCSC) is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our compassionate team!
About Us:
GBCSC is a non-profit organization committed to providing emotional, social, and practical support to individuals affected by cancer — including patients, survivors, caregivers, and families. We offer a welcoming space where people can connect, heal, and find strength together.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Program Support: Assist with wellness programs, support groups, and workshops.
- Reception & Admin Help: Greet visitors, answer phones, and help with light office tasks.
- Event Support: Help organize and run fundraising events and community outreach.
- Peer Support: Provide companionship and a listening ear to those affected by cancer.
- Maintenance & Setup: Help keep our space warm, welcoming, and organized.
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, empathetic individuals with a desire to help others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a positive attitude.
- No prior experience required — training provided!
