About Us

Pay It For-Art (PIFA) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that uses the power of art to drive social change. Operating under a ‘pay what you can’ model, all proceeds from our art sales support causes like poverty relief, environmental action, and education.

Role Summary

As a Visual Content Creator at Pay It For-Art (PIFA), you will be responsible for designing engaging and visually consistent content for our social media platforms. You will play a key role in translating our mission into compelling visuals that support marketing, fundraising, and community engagement.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Visual Content Creator to join our communications team.
In this role, you will produce static posts, Canadarousels, and Instagram reels that align with our brand identity and mission. You will collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Coordinator to ensure visual consistency and help shape the public image of PIFA. You will also contribute to broader visual branding needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create static graphics, Canadarousels, and reels for Instagram and other platforms
  • Support visual needs for other departments (e.g., pitch decks, Canadampaigns)
  • Maintain consistency in design across posts, templates, and brand materials
  • Work with the Social Media Coordinator to match visuals with copy and campaign needs
  • Organize and manage creative assets (photos, templates, brand files)
  • Occasionally brainstorm or storyboard content ideas with the team.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong skills in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
  • Familiarity with Instagram trends (especially reels and carousel storytelling)
  • Ability to work independently with guidance from the Social Media Manager
  • Enthusiasm for social causes and storytelling through art and design
  • Attention to detail in layout, alignment, and typography
  • Comfortable receiving and integrating design feedback

Time Commitment

Approximately 3 hours per week, with flexibility based on availability. All work is remote and asynchronous, with periodic check-ins.

What You Will Gain

  • Portfolio-worthy design work and real impact on community storytelling
  • Collaborative experience with a mission-driven nonprofit
  • Opportunity to shape visual direction and influence brand growth.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Passionate commitment to PIFA’s mission and values.
  • A passionate advocate for the arts with a heart for social impact. Your experience level isn't as important as your desire to make a difference and grow with us.
