Position Overview

STEM For the Future is seeking enthusiastic and organized Virtual Program Facilitators to support the delivery of engaging online STEM programs and events. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy technology, communication, and creating positive virtual learning experiences for youth and community participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with facilitating virtual STEM workshops, webinars, and online educational sessions
  • Support participant engagement through chat moderation, polls, breakout rooms, and Q&A management
  • Provide basic technical support to presenters and participants during virtual events
  • Help presenters ensure sessions run smoothly and on schedule
  • Monitor participant participation and encourage a welcoming, inclusive online environment
  • Assist with attendance tracking and virtual platform setup
  • Troubleshoot minor issues related to audio, video, or participant access
  • Collaborate with program staff to improve online engagement and participant experience

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced virtual environment
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Experience working with youth, education programs, or online events is an asset
  • Interest in STEM education, community engagement, or digital learning preferred
