Videographer Job Description

Join Empowered Futures as a Videographer and help shape the future for emerging adults as they transition into adulthood. We are a forward-thinking nonprofit committed to building confident, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful young adults through self-empowerment, mentorship, and community support.

We are seeking a Videographer who can capture, edit and produce compelling video content that aligns with our brand voice, marketing objectives, and storytelling goals. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and artistically inclined, with the ability to manage the entire video production process from concept to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for marketing campaigns, social media, events, training, and internal communications.
  • Liaise with the Design and Marketing committees to conceive video storyboards
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment on location.
  • Collaborate with 3D Animators to create eye-catching visuals and animations. develop storyboards, scripts, and shot lists.
  • Ensure proper lighting, composition, and sound quality during shoots.
  • Edit raw footage into polished final videos, including adding music, graphics, captions, and special effects.
  • Maintain an organized video archive and manage media files.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to bring fresh ideas to projects.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while ensuring consistent brand quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to video production equipment and software.
  • Attend and participate in weekly standup meetings

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a videographer, camera operator, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of cinematography principles, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience with lighting setups and audio recording equipment.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional videography and editing experience (portfolio required)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry camera equipment (up to 25 lbs).
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project needs.
