
Videographer & Photographer
Eligibility:
This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, the successful applicant must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Videographer & Photographer to shoot and edit both instructional and creative content. This role involves capturing and producing highquality photography and videography of LGFB workshop participants and volunteers in action. You will create:
- Short training videos
- Story-driven pieces that highlight the impact of our programs
- Inclusive, engaging photos to promote our programs across Canada
Working both independently and in collaboration with the LGFB Programs and Marketing teams, you will play a key role in visually communicating our mission, showcasing our impact, and engaging our community.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Director of Programs, with input and guidance from the Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Videographer & Photographer will:
- Produce, film, and photograph LGFB volunteers and participants in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Edit video content—both newly captured footage and previously recorded material such as Zoom sessions—into short, engaging videos for the LGFB website.
- Capture and edit high-quality still photography for digital platforms, marketing materials, and program promotion.
- Create compelling photo and video content for social media and digital channels using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist with outreach and promotional initiatives as needed.
- Ensure all photo and video content aligns with LGFB’s vision, values, and brand identity.
Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in videography, photography, video editing, or a related field.
- Proficiency with DSLR cameras and editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Availability for in-person filming and photography in the GTA (some evenings required).
- Experience with lighting, camera/tripod setup, and general production workflows.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X).
- Valid G Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and engage comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Interest and/or experience working with people who are experiencing serious illness, or with vulnerable populations
Assets
- Fluency in French.
