
Video Editor (volunteer)
The Video Editor (volunteer) is a member of the Operational Team and reports to the Director of Communications. The Video Editor produces high-quality video content tailored for social media platforms. This role involves editing raw footage, adding graphics, sound and special effects, and ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines and engages target audiences.

Note: This position is intended to support the 2025–2026 season, with the option to renew each year.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Filming, editing and producing short-form videos optimized for social media channels, e.g., Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Collaborating with writers and the communications team to develop video concepts
- Implementing motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video quality
- Ensuring that all videos are aligned with UNACTO’s brand and visual standards
- Other relevant duties as required
Desired Skills
- A genuine interest in the United Nations mission and SDGs
- Creative storytelling and script interpretation
- Knowledge of video compression and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of camera operation and video shooting
- Exceptional written and oral communication and a passion for storytelling and creating compelling content
- An ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, flexible, team-oriented and responsive attitude to open communication
- Time management skills—prioritizing, scheduling, adapting—and a commitment to deadlines
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, the Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Trello, Slack and Zoom
