About Us
The Local Charity is a volunteer-run Canadian registered non-profit charity based in Toronto devoted to creating diverse leaders of tomorrow. Our mission is to enable and inspire individuals to reach their greatest potential. Our goal is to empower them to be the author of their own story.
We are a lean operation run predominantly by volunteers with minimal overhead expenses.
Our sister brand is Success Accelerator, through which all our programs are delivered, supporting our main pillars of elevating and enhancing access to:
🧠 Mental Health
📚 Essential Life Skills

The Project
With such a large number of youth entering the poverty cycle, and with so many areas of the cycle failing to be addressed, like mental health challenges, lack of opportunities, and
low self-esteem - these youth fall behind.
The Local Charity's Voices of Resilience series is a collection of interviews featuring young adults and frontline workers from the Greater Toronto Area. Through their stories and hardships, we provide a glimpse beyond the labels they carry. Join us now, in solidarity, in our mission to tackle the poverty cycle, by listening to their resilient stories, often ignored and overlooked, we amplify their voices
