Join Empowered Futures as a Video Editor
Help shape the future for emerging adults as they transition into adulthood. At Empowered Futures, we are a forward-thinking nonprofit dedicated to building confident, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful young adults through self-empowerment, mentorship, and community support.

We are looking for a talented Video Editor to join our creative team. In this volunteer role, you will transform raw footage into compelling, high-quality content that aligns with our brand and storytelling goals. If you have a strong eye for detail, great sense of pacing, and a passion for meaningful visual storytelling, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for marketing campaigns, social media, product launches, training materials, and more.
  • Organize and manage video assets with proper labeling and archiving.
  • Collaborate with Videographers, 3D Animators, Motion Graphics Designers, and Marketing/Design committee members.
  • Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, motion graphics, and titles as required.
  • Ensure brand consistency and high visual quality across all content.
  • Perform color correction, grading, and audio enhancements.
  • Stay updated on editing trends, storytelling techniques, and social media formats.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Attend weekly standup meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role (portfolio/reel required).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Familiarity with After Effects or motion graphics tools is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, timing, and rhythm.
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and best practices for digital content.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of professional editing experience.
