
Video Content Editor
TRACCS is a Non-Profit Association of contractors, operators and maintainers in rail, OCS, signal construction, and communication system coming together to serve the needs of its members and the Canadian Transit Rail industry.
As a growing association, we are experiencing a need for a system to integrate our data collection and management in a seamless way, between our website, accounting, event registrations, newsletters and more.
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Content Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and a strong proficiency in video editing software and techniques. This role will be responsible for editing and producing compelling video content that aligns with our brand’s vision and engages our target audience across various platforms.
Responsibilities:

Edit raw footage into polished videos that convey a cohesive story and meet brand guidelines and standards.

Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.

Ensure video and audio quality meets industry standards and is optimized for various distribution channels (e.g., social media, website, YouTube).

Add graphics, animations, special effects, and other visual elements to enhance video content.

Manage and organize video assets and maintain an efficient workflow for editing and post-production.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing, storytelling, and digital content creation.

Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to brainstorm and develop new video concepts and formats.

Review and provide feedback on draft versions of videos, incorporating changes as needed based on feedback.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity.

Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. We currently use Canva Pro.

Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and resolutions.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with motion graphics, animation, and color correction is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with sound editing and mixing.

Knowledge of video SEO and optimization techniques for different platforms.

Understanding of copyright laws and regulations related to video content.
