Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMHF) currently seeks a Vice President, Philanthropy.

Our compensation package is designed to attract, retain, grow, reward, and motivate commitment and performance. To support these goals, we benchmark our overall compensation package and approach against other comparable hospital foundations both regionally and nationally, as well as local charitable and non-profit organizations. We are dedicated to being fiscally responsible and providing fair compensation.
The mission of Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation is to inspire giving that will, in turn, inspire and sustain great local healthcare, when it's needed most. Our goal is to work in partnership with the hospital and our donors to collaboratively raise funds to help acquire and replace equipment and technology to care for our community.

Role Summary
The Vice President, Philanthropy is a senior executive leader responsible for advancing a sustainable, high performing culture of philanthropy across Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMHF). Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President, Philanthropy provides strategic leadership, multi-year planning, and executive level accountability for philanthropy, with a primary focus on major gifts growth including direct solicitations for support, and long-term impact.
In a small, collaborative organization, the Vice President, Philanthropy ensures fundraising is embedded across people, systems, and relationships, enabling staff, volunteers, Board members, and the CEO to contribute meaningfully to philanthropic success.
Key Responsibilities Executive & Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development of multi-year philanthropy strategies aligned with CMHF’s mission and community priorities, and long-term goals.
- Provide executive level forecasting, analysis, and reporting on philanthropy performance to the CEO and Board.
- Ensure fundraising systems, structures, and leadership capacity are designed to scale sustainably over time.
Leadership of People & Systems
- Lead and support senior development leadership, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and growth.
- Establish expectations, standards, and systems that enable effective fundraising across all programs.
- Create the conditions for collaboration, learning, and shared ownership of philanthropy.
Major & Transformational Giving
- Engage in the development and presentation of proposals for transformational opportunities, in partnership with the CEO and senior development leadership.
- Partner with the CEO, Board members, clinicians, and volunteers on top tier donor engagement and solicitation.
Culture of Philanthropy & Culture Code Stewardship
- Champion a culture of philanthropy where stewardship, relationship building, and donor care are shared responsibilities.
- Model and protect CMHF’s Culture Code across leadership behavior, decisionmaking, and performance expectations.
- Foster collaboration, learning, clarity, and sustainability in how fundraising work is done.
External & Community Leadership
- Serve as a visible ambassador for CMHF in the community and philanthropic sector.
- Build partnerships that strengthen trust, reputation, and long-term support for local healthcare.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant senior level fundraising leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or complex nonprofit environments.
- Proven success leading teams, strategy, and multi-year growth.
- Exceptional relationship building, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong financial and strategic acumen.

Salary
A competitive compensation package including base salary, benefits including HOOPP and paid vacation, will be provided. The target hiring range for this position is $111,100 -
$131,300. CMHF reviews and increases compensation annually based on performance, and the full salary range is $111,100 - $151,500.
