Treasurer (Volunteer Board Position) Organization: Aspire Richmond Support Society Location: Richmond BC Commitment: 4-6 hours per month Term: 2-year term Aspire Richmond Support Society is dedicated to empowering people with developmental disabilities and their families through inclusive programs, advocacy, and community-building. Our board is a committed group of leaders who believe in strengthening opportunities, dignity, and belonging for all. Role Overview Aspire Richmond Support Society is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This volunteer leader will guide the organization’s financial stewardship, ensure transparency, and support long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate is a CPA with experience in financial management, nonprofit accounting, or related fields. Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Review monthly financial statements and present financial updates to the board
• Work with the Chief Executive Officer and Finance Committee to maintain

strong internal controls
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of required financial documents (e.g., T3010

and other CRA filings)
• Advise on long-term financial planning and sustainability

Qualifications

• CPA designation required
• Experience in accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial management
• Strong understanding of financial statements and budgeting
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a diverse board
• Commitment to the mission and values of Aspire Richmond Support Society
• Prior board experience is an asset but not required
