Treasurer (Volunteer)

The Ottawa Horticultural Society (OHS) is a non-profit organization (NPO) that supports the Ottawa gardening and horticultural community by promoting community-based horticultural knowledge and practices. It is seeking a volunteer to join its leadership team as Treasurer, to provide financial stewardship including preparation of budgets (less than $50k) and associated reporting. Experience in financial administration or basic book-keeping, including use of accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), is preferable. Detailed position description can be provided (see contact info). Training on QBO accounting, as well as mentoring and support during onboarding, can be provided. Time commitment is an average 8 hours/month , and participation in online monthly Board meetings.
