Applicant Qualifications

Yearly
• Prepare semi-annual HST rebate—March and September
• Prepare Annual Financial Report for AGM—June
• If possible, attend SICM event virtually or in person—July
• Record event registration fees with Registrar
• Submit Corporate Annual Return to Corporations Canada—July
• Prepare and submit annual report to CRA (T3010) - fiscal year end is September 30
• Assist with SICM Budget—October
• Issue tax receipts Monthly
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Maintain contact with SICM board members through board minutes, emails etc.
• Prepare financial statement and distribute to board members before meetings
• If available or requested, attend monthly board meetings on Zoom (usually the first

Friday morning of each month, 1.5-2hrs). Occasional
• Issue cheques/E transfers for expenses
• Collect donations and sponsorships

Duties and tasks

The Summer Institute of Church Music is seeking a TREASURER

This is a volunteer position (average 2-4 hrs/mo) administrating the financial affairs of the Summer Institute of Church Music, a CRA registered charity and federally incorporated nonprofit organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.

The SICM is funded entirely by registration fees paid by participants in its annual programs, donations, and corporate sponsorships.
