Treasurer
Are you between roles, returning to finance, or looking to keep your accounting and leadership experience active while exploring your next opportunity? The Foundation is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to support financial oversight, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and board decision-making. This role offers a credible way to demonstrate recent impact, strengthen your résumé, expand your network, and contribute to a meaningful education-focused organization.
Candidates should be comfortable reading financial statements, supporting budgets, working with financial records, and communicating financial information clearly to non-finance board members. Experience in accounting, audit support, nonprofit administration including tax preparation, finance operations, or financial analysis would be valuable. Reliability, judgement, and commitment are essential.
The role is hybrid but the successful candidate will be located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia where seasonal outreach/education activities take place. Monthly board meetings are virtual with periodic working sessions in-person at the discretion of the Board.
