
Treasurer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer (Incoming). This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our current Treasurer, gaining hands-on experience with our financial systems and processes.
Term & Transition:
Early 2026: Serve as Treasurer (Incoming), supporting and collaborating with the current Treasurer.
2026 onward: Opportunity to assume the full Treasurer role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with reviewing monthly financial reports, budgets, and statements
Support oversight of financial policies, compliance, and reporting
Help prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the Treasurer and Executive Director
Monitor cash flow, funding allocations, and financial risk management
Participate in annual audits and ensure timely submission of required filings
Track grants and donor contributions to ensure proper allocation and reporting
Provide clear financial updates at board meetings to support decision-making
Contribute to strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability
Ideal Candidate:
Strong organizational and financial management skills
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or nonprofit finance is an asset
Commitment to the mission and values of our organization
Time Commitment: Approximately 5–8 hours/month, including board meetings
