Thunderbird Neighbourhood Association Board Members
The Thunderbird Neighbourhood Association is a non-profit organization that is made up of volunteer board members to assist with the governance of its board policies and procedures when it comes to offering recreation programs at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar Street, in East Vancouver.
Thunderbird Community Centre is jointly operated by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and the Thunderbird Neighbourhood Association.
In the past, the Association has been instrumental in fundraising to expand the building to include a second floor in the 90s. Today, the Association works with the Park Board staff to provide recreational, educational, cultural and social programming to those that live in our community and beyond. With each passing decade, there are subtle changes that suggest gentrification is occurring and programming is shifting due to these demographics. The Board and staff will continue to adapt and serve so that we can continue to deliver art, education, sport, social and fitness programs for all ages.

- Maintain lines of communication between Board and staff
- Attend Board Meetings once a month, and committee meeting once a month if applicable,
- Contribute to making the experience on the Board an enjoyable and productive, and
