
Technology Expert
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) is seeking a technology expert to oversee the technology direction of our non-profit organization. This position operates on an “as needed” basis ensuring that all systems and processes align with our business goals. The tech expert will collaborate and work with our CHHA administrator and ED regarding security, basic training, and to identify technical needs and implement effective solutions.
This is a small office with minimal technical systems to manage. This is a virtual position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversees the software and programs relating to technology
- Ensures the security and integrity of all IT systems
- Collaborates with the CHHA Administrator and National Executive Director to identify technological needs
- Review current programs and systems and make recommendations for change
- Assist with training new staff (if required) on CHHA’s technology
- Assist with managing relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Monitor technological trends and stay updated with advancements in the field
- Provide technical guidance and assistance when issues are presented
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to technology and data protection
- Measure and assess the performance of IT Systems and make improvements as necessary
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in IT Management or similar role
- Experience working in a not-for-profit environment
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with data protection and cyber security strategies
- Strong technical background with knowledge of various IT systems and infrastructure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay updated with technological trends and advancements
- Ability to work collaboratively with organizations contacts.
- Ability to work on an “as needed basis” or to respond to minimal emergencies relating to our technology
