Technology & Automation Specialist (n8n)

Position Overview

Samawada is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Technology & Automation Specialist (n8n) to design, build, and optimize automated workflows that improve operational efficiency, enhance donor engagement, and support humanitarian programs through technology.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, AI, system integration, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will use n8n and other automation tools to streamline internal processes, connect platforms, reduce manual work, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You Will Do

Workflow Automation

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using n8n.
• Automate repetitive business processes across fundraising, finance, marketing, operations, and program management.
• Develop scalable automation solutions that improve organizational efficiency.
• Monitor workflow performance and resolve automation issues.
• Continuously improve existing workflows based on organizational needs.

System Integration

• Connect cloud platforms and business applications using APIs and webhooks.
• Integrate CRM systems, email marketing platforms, project management tools, accounting software, and cloud storage services.
• Build secure data synchronization workflows between multiple systems.
• Support integration of AI services into organizational processes.
• Maintain automation documentation and system architecture.

AI & Digital Innovation

• Integrate AI tools to automate content generation, reporting, data analysis, and administrative tasks.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows for donor communications, volunteer onboarding, and operational support.
• Explore emerging technologies that improve humanitarian service delivery.
• Recommend innovative automation solutions that increase organizational productivity.

Data & Reporting

• Automate data collection and reporting processes.
• Develop workflows that populate the Global Transparency Dashboard with accurate and timely information.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
• Create automated notifications, dashboards, and reporting workflows.
• Support data-driven decision-making through automation.

Technology Support

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to understand workflow requirements.
• Train staff and volunteers on automation tools and best practices.
• Document workflows, integrations, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure automation solutions follow security, privacy, and organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot integration and workflow issues.

Understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth and API keys.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
