Role overview:

We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Seasonal Tax Advisor to manage and oversee our tax-related activities. The Seasonal Tax Advisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and providing strategic tax advice. This position involves collaborating with an internal team, including our financial manager, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. Additionally, the Seasonal Tax Advisor will assist in the submission of our taxes annually and offer other tax-related advice as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Advisory: Provide expert advice on tax-related matters, including tax planning strategies, compliance issues, and potential tax savings opportunities.
  • Compliance Management: Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations. Ensure the organization complies with all federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with the internal finance team to gather necessary information and documentation for tax filings. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies. Address and resolve any tax audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Assist to develop and deliver tax-related reports, documentation, and presentations. Ensure all tax records are complete, accurate, and stored appropriately.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding tax matters. Provide updates on tax issues, planning strategies, and compliance status.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a tax advisor, tax accountant, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus.
