Are you a creative student who loves to write? We’re looking for students in Grades 8–12 to share their opinions and experiences on topics that matter — through engaging, authentic blog posts for the Wave Blog.

Your role and responsibility are to:

  • Write blog posts that are personal and authentic, reflecting your opinions and experience, but relevant to other students as well
  • Create original content in liaison with our publisher and editor
  • Write and edit concisely for clarity and accuracy
  • Share the blog using your own personal social media accounts
  • Suggest keywords for your post

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • You are insightful, creative, and love to inspire others
  • You possess excellent communication and written English skills, including grammar and spelling
  • You pay attention to detail
  • You have exceptional organizational skills
  • You can commit to deadlines
  • Experience in WordPress is an asset

Posts on our blog must fit one of the following categories:

  • Tips & Advice: Share insights and guidance based on your own experiences to inspire and help others.
  • Lived Experience: Reflect on a personal event or life-changing moment that shaped you.
  • Books & Movies: Review, compare, or recommend books and movies that made an impact on you.
  • Creative Writing: Share writing tips, inspiration, or anything related to the craft of storytelling.
  • Ripples of Thoughts: Express your personal reflections, opinions, and unique perspectives.

You can earn up to 5 volunteer hours per blog – this includes the writing deadline and any required revisions while working with our publisher and editor to finalize your piece.
