
Strategic Advisor – Execution & Oversight (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer):

The Strategic Advisor – Execution & Oversight supports the Chair and Executive Director of Operations by providing strategic guidance, operational oversight, and hands-on delivery of organizational priorities. This role not only advises on key initiatives but also actively monitors progress and ensures execution as directed by the Chair, working across committees to maintain alignment, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
· Provide strategic insight and recommendations to leadership on priorities, risk management, and growth opportunities.
· Translate high-level strategies into actionable plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and accountability measures.
· Monitor progress and execution of organizational priorities as directed by the Chair, ensuring milestones are met.
· Personally lead and execute high-priority projects from planning to delivery.
· Develop and refine operational processes, playbooks, and tools that enable efficient execution.
· Collaborate with other Strategic Advisors to maintain cross-functional alignment and remove roadblocks.
· Track KPIs and OKRs, preparing progress reports for leadership and the Board.
· Step in to manage critical deliverables when deadlines are at risk.
· Represent EF as a senior leader in meetings, events, and partner engagements when needed.
· Champion EF’s values and ensure all initiatives reflect its mission and vision.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, project management, or nonprofit leadership.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Policy, or a related field required. Master’s degree or equivalent leadership experience is an asset.
· Proven ability to bridge high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
· Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate, and drive progress across multiple priorities.
· Comfortable working in a remote, volunteer-based environment.
· Passionate about youth empowerment, mentorship, and sustainable organizational growth.
