Sports Coach Assistant (NLS Programs)

Description:
Sports Coach Assistants support NLS coaches in delivering basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics programs. Assistants help run practices, manage equipment, and encourage youth to develop skills and sportsmanship in a safe environment.

Location & Schedule:

• Dates: Sept 2025 – May 2026
• Days: Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun (schedule varies)
• Commitment: 3–8 hours/week

Duties:

• Assist with drills, skill-building exercises, and small-group coaching.
• Set up and take down equipment; monitor safe use.
• Support athlete engagement, provide encouragement, and model positive behaviour.
• Help coaches with attendance, progress notes, and basic safety checks.

Education / Skills:

• High school student (Grade 10–12) with sports experience preferred.
• Comfortable leading groups and communicating clearly.
• First Aid/CPR is an asset
