ROLE SUMMARY:
This role works in tandem with the Specialist, Operations role to accurately and efficiently process the generous donations received by Mackenzie Health Foundation. An integral member of the Operations team, this role focusses on tax receipting, financial reconciliations, Accounts Payable, and reporting.
Contribute to the Foundation by:
• Weekly, prepare tax receipts, business acknowledgement receipts and/or thank you letters for
gifts received; complete annual consolidated tax receipting.
• Lead the Accounts Payable process, including invoice and payment processing.
• Accurate and timely data entry of donations and donor related information into Raiser’s Edge,
including gifts of stock.
• Process credit card donations and complete bank deposits; complete refunds and gift
adjustments as needed.
• Monthly, complete reconciliation including identifying and resolving discrepancies, completing
gift adjustments.
• Lead, data reporting, providing data exports, and donor statements for staff as requested.
• Receive donations by phone and respond to donor inquiries.
• Follow and maintain policies, procedures, processes, workflows and methodologies.
• Back-up for Specialist, Operations, and Coordinator, during vacations/absences.

What must you have?
• Minimum two (2) years of data entry/gift processing experience
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge
• Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
What else do you bring?
• Strong numeracy skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Aptitude for computers and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Basic accounting knowledge an asset
• Excellent phone etiquette and effective interpersonal skills with a professional presence and
manner
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Be a team player who is also self-motivated and works effectively in a fast-paced environment
with deadlines and multiple workflows
• Able to maintain and work with a high volume of confidential information
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, take initiative and respect the
confidentiality of sensitive information and materials
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Preferably, your profile also includes:
• Experience working in a health care or not-for-profit environment
• Minimum college and/or university degree or equivalent
This position is permanent, full-time, with a hybrid schedule including a minimum of 2 days/week on- site. Mackenzie Health Foundation offers competitive compensation plus benefits and a pension plan.
