Position Summary

The Social Media Team Lead will oversee STEM for the Future’s digital presence, guiding content direction, ensuring consistency, and leading a team of content creators to grow awareness, engagement, and impact.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and leadership, and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Direction

  • Develop weekly and monthly content direction
  • Define content pillars (education, impact, storytelling, awareness)
  • Ensure content aligns with the organization’s mission and goals

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support a team of content creators
  • Assign content tasks and manage workflow
  • Provide feedback and guidance on content quality
  • Keep team motivated, aligned, and accountable

Content Oversight

  • Review and approve content before posting
  • Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and branding
  • Maintain a structured content calendar

Growth & Performance

  • Monitor engagement, reach, and growth
  • Identify what content is working and adjust strategy
  • Support audience growth and visibility initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
  • Leadership or team coordination experience (formal or informal)
  • Organized, proactive, and strategic
  • Strong communication and feedback skills
  • Passionate about youth impact, STEM, and storytelling
