Position Overview
The Social Media Marketing – Growth-Focused Content Creator Volunteer/Intern is responsible for developing high-impact, engaging content designed to increase reach, visibility, and audience growth across social media platforms. This role goes beyond basic content creation by focusing on what performs well, what drives engagement, and how to grow the organization’s online presence strategically.
Working closely with the engagement and strategy team, this role combines creativity with performance-driven thinking to create content that attracts new audiences, promotes programs, and strengthens brand awareness.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong content creation skills (graphics, captions, short-form videos)
- Understanding of what makes content engaging and shareable
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Ability to follow trends and adapt content for growth (Reels, viral formats)
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut or similar tools)
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and audience-focused captions
- Organized and able to meet consistent posting schedules
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Experience creating content that has achieved strong engagement or growth
- Understanding of algorithms, reach, and content performance
- Experience with content planning and scheduling tools
- Photography/videography skills (asset)
- Knowledge of branding and visual consistency
- Interest in marketing, communications, or digital media

- Create engaging posts, reels, and stories designed for growth
- Develop content ideas aligned with trends and audience interests
- Support promotion of programs, events, and campaigns
- Collaborate with the strategy team to optimize content performance
- Experiment with new formats (reels, carousels, hooks, captions)
