Social Media, Marketing & Communications Coordinator
BB&C Management Services Inc. has an opening for a Social Media, Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is ready to take on an intermediate role in the communication and promotion of member services for not-for-profit organizations.
The Coordinator must be well-organized and resourceful and ready to work with a small team of professional association managers.
Core responsibilities
- Creation of various promotional materials for association campaigns, including writing and adapting copy to different platforms, supported by the client lead.
- Development and release of ongoing promotion and social media campaigns for association events (tradeshows, conferences, social events etc.).
- Preparation and circulation of regular association updates and quarterly newsletters.
- Promotion of membership benefits, education programs and advocacy projects across a range of industries and professions.
- Maintenance of client contact databases and assistance with web updates as needed.
- Supporting webinars, virtual conferences and onsite events as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in relationship building.
- Detail orientated with an understanding of the importance of accuracy in day-to-day delivery of member services.
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to multi-task while working independently and as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft office, Zoom/Teams, email and phone when communicating with elected leaders, committees and members.
- Must be familiar with platforms like Constant Contact, Mailchimp and social platforms including Meta and LinkedIn.
- Experience with graphic design concepts including basis knowledge of Photoshop or equivalent.
- Basic familiarity with WordPress, Wix platforms and html is an asset.
This is an intermediate role and reports to the account managers; however, the day-to-day schedule will be largely self-managed after the initial training period.
Working Conditions: A hybrid work environment is offered with a requirement for scheduled in-office workdays in North Mississauga preferred.
This is a newly created position offered on a full-time contract basis with compensation commensurate with experience. The successful candidate is expected to report to account managers; however, the day-to-day schedule will be largely self-managed after the initial training period.
