Job Description

The Social Media Manager blends with strategy, content creation, and cross-team collaboration to amplify our mission and increase visibility. The ideal candidate should be both creative and analytical - comfortable behind the camera and in front of it, capable of producing engaging content while using data to continuously refine our approach.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation & Management
  • Plan, create, record, and edit high-quality social media content (photo, video, and written)
  • Manage and maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Publish content on behalf of various teams, ensuring clarity and cohesion in messaging

2. Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with LandSeed’s goals and mission
  • Maintain a content calendar that reflects organizational priorities and key initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, and visibility

3. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams to gather content, align messaging, and ensure proper visibility of projects and initiatives
  • Act as a central point of coordination for social media across departments

4. On-Camera Presence

  • Confidently appear in and/or direct video content when needed
  • Help shape authentic, engaging storytelling that represents LandSeed’s voice

5. Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor performance metrics and analyze engagement data
  • Use insights to refine content strategy and improve outcomes
  • Identify what’s working and adapt quickly to optimize results

6. Trend Awareness

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats
  • Apply relevant trends thoughtfully to increase reach while staying authentic to the brand

7. Brand Integrity & Representation

  • Ensure all content accurately reflects LandSeed’s mission, values, and voice
  • Exercise sound judgment to avoid misrepresentation of the organization
  • Maintain professionalism, authenticity, and consistency across all platforms

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, with a strong focus on Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Comfortable being on camera and directing others on camera
  • Experience using analytics tools to track performance and inform strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
  • Passion for mission-driven work and alignment with LandSeed’s values
  • Strong content creation skills (video editing, writing, storytelling)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
