Volunteer Position Available: Social Media Coordinator

Overall Duties

Qualifications and Requirements

Grief Stories is currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator Volunteer to help expand our Operations Team.

The Social Media Coordinator is expected to:

Manage day-to-day activities such as scheduling stories and posts, engaging with followers Schedule and create content for special days in line with our calendar Create relevant social media content to help expand our reach to grievers, bereavement organizations, and grief specialists alongside Health Care Pillar Lead and Executive Director

Work alongside Operations Team to create social media campaigns in line with strategic priorities Ensure that all messaging and communications are aligned with brand language and identity Assist with Quarterly Newsletter development and communications to stakeholders

Grief Stories is seeking a Social Media Coordinator Volunteer with the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

Hands on experience in content management Excellent communication, analytical and multitasking skills Experience in outreach, social media, digital PR, buzz building and building sustainable communities Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

Excellent copywriting skills Knowledge and experience with common monitoring and reporting tools for Social Media Familiarity with web design Ability to work remotely with secure internet connection

Time Commitment

The time requirement is approximately 1-2 hours per week plus a one-hour monthly virtual Ops Team meeting.

Benefits

A comprehensive training/orientation package will be provided, as well as a one-on-one virtual meeting with the Executive Director to respond to any questions.
