Social Media Assistant Volunteer (Virtual)

Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is looking for a Social Media Assistant Volunteer to help create content, plan posts with a team, and represent our organization online in a welcoming and inclusive way.

About Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES):
VRES is a not-for-profit organization that provides individuals in Vancouver Region and beyond with free and affordable educational resources in a safe and supportive environment that inspires personal growth.

Responsibilities:
• Create and edit content for VRES Instagram account(s)
• Plan content with a team
• Help foster a welcoming online environment
• Represent VRES online

Requirements:
• Minimum age: 12
• Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and software
• Interest in social media, content creation, and online communication
• Able to work collaboratively with a team
• Complete training prior to start date
• Can commit to the shift schedule

Assets:
• Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
• Previous volunteer experience
• Experience creating social media content or captions
• Familiarity with Instagram or other social media platforms
