Sexual Health Counsellor Position Women’s Clinic Full-Time Who we are: Hassle Free Clinic is a community-based clinic providing medical and counselling services in all areas of sexual health. A fundamental principle of service delivery is a non-judgmental, supportive attitude to the treatment of sexual health concerns. About the role: As a counsellor, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide counselling, education and medical services; including STI testing/treatment, HIV testing, contraception, abortion referrals, psychosocial counselling on topics such as sexual assault, sexuality, etc. You will also share administrative duties, i.e. answering phones, processing tests, follow-up, etc. This position is Monday – Friday including 2 evenings a week. Education/experience/abilities

• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical and counselling experience in sexual health or related field
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., nursing, counselling, social work)
• Solid understanding of STIs, HIV, contraception methods, pregnancy options and issues related

to sexual health
• Strong counselling skills
• Self directed, able to multitask in busy environment is a must
• Feminist, pro-choice, anti-oppressive and sex-positive
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Clinical skills (including venipuncture, blood pressure, IM injections) are assets
• Ability to work in language(s) in addition to English is an asset but not essential
