About this opportunity:

As a Senior Public Speaking Club Volunteer, you will support the facilitation of interactive workshops designed to help seniors build confidence in speaking and sharing their ideas. You will work closely with our team to assist with session preparation, guide small group activities, and create a welcoming environment that encourages participation, learning, and meaningful discussion.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Assisting with the preparation of session materials such as slides, handouts, and activity resources to ensure workshops run smoothly.
  • Supporting facilitators in leading icebreakers, small group discussions, and interactive activities that encourage participation.
  • Providing guidance and encouragement to participants during speech-writing exercises and practice sessions.
  • Helping manage session flow through timekeeping, role assignments (e.g., Speaker, Topic Master, Evaluator), and attendance tracking.
  • Monitoring participant engagement, offering assistance to individuals who may need extra support, and helping gather feedback at the end of sessions.equirements:
