
Senior Public Engagement Officer
Canadian Foodgrains Bank is a partnership of 15 Canadian churches and church-based agencies working together to respond to global hunger. We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Public Engagement Officer (Church Engagement) to join our Resources and Public Engagement Team.
This position will lead initiatives that engage Canadians, especially church communities, in learning, praying, advocating, and giving toward food justice and global food security. They will design and deliver experiential learning programs, host international visitors, and coordinate learning tours that deepen understanding and inspire action.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in adult education, international development, or a related field, along with practical experience in designing experiential learning and leading collaborative public engagement initiatives. They also have strong communication and facilitation skills, paired with creative use of digital tools that enable meaningful engagement that inspires action and reflection within church communities. A solid understanding of food security and humanitarian issues, familiarity with the Canadian church sector, and readiness to travel domestically and internationally (10–20%) are essential. Staff in this position must identify with and support our Christian mission and identity.
This position is full-time permanent and is ideally based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a hybrid work option available. Candidates from other locations across Canada will be considered.
