The Role

Reporting to the Director of Programs, this is a senior individual contributor role leading marketing across three areas of NGM's work: Education & Training, Youth Lab, and Voice Male. You'll own our digital presence and bring both the strategy and the skills to execute it. There's no team beneath you – you need to be as comfortable building a content plan as you are opening CapCut. A strong command of social media and video content is central to this position, as is the ability to zoom out and think about how NGM shows up in the world.

Drive Education & Training workshop sales

This role leads marketing for NGM's workshop offerings – a vehicle for transformation and growth, and the revenue that helps fund our Youth Lab work. We deliver workshops in workplaces, schools, camps, and sporting spaces to support men's and boys' mental health and wellbeing.

You'll

  • Promote workshops through social media
  • Maintain and increase traffic to the Education & Training website
  • Create and share clips and promotional content
  • Develop content that clearly communicates the value proposition of our offerings to the right audiences

Grow Voice Male magazine and membership

This role promotes both the magazine and membership to grow our reader and supporter base for NGM's print and digital magazine. Membership is the best way to support Next Gen Men. Members get the magazine delivered, access to our archive of 70+ issues, discounts on NGM products, and more depending on their tier.

You'll:

  • Promote the magazine and membership options through social media
  • Curate and distribute the Voice Male Weekly newsletter to our broader audience
  • Oversee the Voice Male and NGM shop Shopify sites

Support Youth Lab and the Streamer Academy

This role helps NGM shift the narratives young men encounter online – primarily through Twitch, TikTok, and our emerging esports presence. This is a new area of work, so you'll need to be comfortable figuring things out as they emerge.

You'll:

  • Work with the Youth Lab team and Next Gen Men's new Streamer Academy to clip and distribute content on Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Promote NGM Alliance (Discord community) and Next Gen Esports (Twitch channel) on social media
  • Track social media metrics across channels and contribute to how we measure the impact of our content over time
  • Capture and share the impact of Youth Lab initiatives across social, newsletter, and the website

Who you are

You're a professional marketer – systems oriented, conversion focused, and measured by results.

  • Expert in your craft and still genuinely curious about what you don't know yet
  • Seek out inspiration and research new platforms and spaces
  • Care about depth over reach – meaningful engagement matters more than big numbers
  • Write and speak clearly, and adjust your tone depending on who you're talking to and where
  • Can see the big picture and turn it into a content marketing plan – spot opportunities and gaps
  • Bring fresh thinking to content and campaigns and aren't afraid to try something new
  • Know what to say no to, filter ideas by impact and priority, and stay focused when work gets complicated
  • Have a plan and know how to run it – managing multiple projects without losing track of what matters most

You don't need to come in with expertise in gender and masculinity – that's our job to share. What we do need is someone open to feedback and guidance, especially on the sensitive nature of the communities and youth we work with. This means you should also be:

  • Coachable and resilient
  • Self-reflective – takes the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously
  • Kind, collaborative, and easy to work with
  • Excited to be part of a team

This is a senior role, but you still want to do the work. You're ambitious, motivated, and looking for an organization to grow with.

Skills

  • Social media marketing across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Discord, and Twitch
  • Hands-on video creation and editing for social – CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar
  • Strong copywriting across formats, with the ability to match tone to audience
  • Campaign management from concept to reporting
  • Comfortable with analytics – social, Google, and email platforms
  • Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to move faster – for drafting, research, and ideation
  • Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, and Basecamp
  • Squarespace and/or Shopify experience is an asset

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working with gaming, esports, or streaming communities
  • Experience working in the nonprofit or social impact sector
  • Familiarity with the gender equity space, positive masculinities, or pro-feminist movements
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field – or equivalent experience
