
Senior Manager of Operations
Ontario Electrical League (OEL) is hiring a Senior Manager of Operations to lead day-to-day operational execution across the organization. Reporting to the President, the Senior Manager of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the execution and oversight of core business operations, financial processes, and administrative systems. This is a high-autonomy, hands-on role with no direct reports, requiring strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple operational functions in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. The role carries signing authority and is central to ensuring operational stability, financial control, and effective internal systems.
What You Will Do
- You will take ownership of the systems that keep the organization running, including:
- Day-to-day operational administration and office management
- Banking relationships, payments, and signing authority responsibilities
- Financial processes including payables, reconciliations, and audit support
- Payroll, benefits, and insurance administration coordination
- IT systems, vendors, subscriptions, and internal platforms
- Membership systems and operational support tools
- Coordination of Board and committee logistics and documentation
- Support for grants, government reporting, and funded programs
- Planning and execution of key organizational events

About You
- 10+ years experience in operations, finance, or administrative leadership (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Strong experience managing multiple systems and workflows independently
- Comfortable working without direct reports in a high-accountability role
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Experience with financial processes, vendors, or compliance environments
- Valid G driver’s license and ability to work in-office full time
