ABOUT THE LUNG HEALTH FOUNDATION

Imagine a future where people living with lung cancer have a fighting chance. Where no one loses a loved one to asthma. Where people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) live life to the fullest. Where older adults maintain their independence. And where future generations are spared the debilitating effects of lung disease.

At the Lung Health Foundation (LHF), we’re committed to making that future a reality—starting now.

Our Mission

We work to improve the lung health of Canadians through:

  • Groundbreaking research
  • Policy and practice change
  • Urgently needed programs and support
  • Public education on critical lung health issues

At the core of our mission? Helping those impacted by lung disease.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager, Information Technology and Data Management is a strategic and hands-on leader who oversees and strengthens the Lung Health Foundation’s technology and data environment as it evolves to meet growing operational, programmatic, and reporting needs.

Canada currently faces a gap in comprehensive and accessible lung health data. As part of the Lung Health Foundation’s 10-year strategy to become a national leader and trusted source for lung health data and research, this role will be instrumental in building the organization’s central “data hub.” This includes designing the frameworks and infrastructure required to collect, integrate, manage, and responsibly share lung health data across research institutes, government partners, and other stakeholders.

As the organization begins to systematically collect and use data from its programs, partners, and audiences, this role will support the development of strong data governance practices and secure analytics capabilities aligned with organizational priorities.

The Senior Manager ensures that technology and data practices effectively support the organization’s mission and long-term strategic goals. They will lead IT operations, guide data governance, advance the development of the data hub, and promote a culture of data informed decision making across the organization.
