About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Librarian to guide the growth, structure, and quality of the Planet Watch Online Library. You’ll shape how climate stories are organized, how young people discover them, and how our volunteer team contributes to a welcoming, inspiring learning space.
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, direction and operations of the online library
- Oversee content quality, clarity, and accessibility
- Guide a small team of volunteer librarians and contributors
- Ensure the library is easy to navigate and youth‑friendly
Research Coordination
- Project Management: Coordinate the day-to-day operations of research studies,
- Literature Reviews: Conduct in-depth database searches, critically appraise published scientific literature, and synthesize data for reports, grants, and proposals.
Library & Information Services
- Collection Management: Recommend acquisitions, classify, and catalogue library materials (books, periodicals, and digital media).
- Develop Search techniques and guides to maximize the accessibility of digital library collections.
- Conduct library orientations, information literacy training, and specialized workshops

Candidate Requirements
- This position is only open to residents of Canada
- A good command of the English language is required
- All positions in Planet Watch are voluntary.
