Role Overview

Samawada is seeking an enthusiastic and goal-driven Fundraiser & Community Outreach Coordinator to help expand our donor base, strengthen partnerships, and engage communities in our mission.
This volunteer will play a key role in developing fundraising campaigns, coordinating community outreach, and building long-term relationships with supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support fundraising campaigns, both online and offline, to help sustain Samawada’s clean water and community development programs.
• Identify and reach out to potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and supporters.
• Assist in organizing fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and donor appreciation activities.
• Collaborate with the communications team to create appealing fundraising materials, social media content, and donor newsletters.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and campaign results.
• Represent Samawada in community events, online forums, and partnership meetings when needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for nonprofit work, community development, or humanitarian causes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or outreach (preferred but not required).
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a remote team.
• Familiarity with online fundraising tools (GoFundMe, CanadaHelps, or similar platforms) is an asset.
• Creative mindset and interest in community storytelling or social impact communication.
