Resource & Information Specialist
37.5 hours/week | Salary $44,951 | Onsite - Ottawa, ON (exact location TBD)

As the Resource & Information Specialist, you are the first face and first voice of PATH. You set the tone for every new jobseeker experience, whether someone is calling for the first time, inquiring via email, or arriving for an appointment. This role is essential to keeping PATH running smoothly, calmly, and compassionately. CORE DUTIES
- Serve as the first point of contact for all jobseekers, employers, and visitors; in person, by phone, by email.
- Greet clients in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner while managing high-traffic reception area.
- Manage multiple competing priorities including phone calls, front desk inquiries, emails, and messages.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails, voicemail, and system messages from jobseekers, employers, and community partners.
- Provide accurate information about PATH services, job search resources, and community supports.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse clientele, including Jobseekers with Disabilities, Newcomers to Canada, Employers, Government Representatives, Colleagues, and Managers.
- Work across multiple computer systems at the same time while supporting in-person and phone inquiries.
- Track and document how clients heard about PATH and ensure accurate data entry and attention to detail.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up with jobseekers or employers who have contacted PATH via phone or email.
- Notify Career Development Specialists when clients arrive for appointments and support daily programming.
- Support internal staff by sharing timely information and ensuring smooth front-desk operations.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and solution-focused approach in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (front desk, reception, call centre, etc.).
- Bilingual - French and English highly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming, and calm demeanor.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Comfortable learning and navigating multiple databases and computer systems simultaneously.
- Knowledge of job search resources, employment supports, and community services is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
- Clear criminal record check is required.
