Request for Quote (RFQ): External Audit Services

Victim Services Toronto is a nonprofit organization based in Toronto with an annual operating budget of approximately $10,000,00.00, funded through government grants, donations, and foundations. We are seeking an external auditor for our annual financial statement audit and provide support to our agency relating to treatment of financial information.

Scope of Work

- Annual audit in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)

- Audited financial statements

- Management letter (if applicable)

- Presentation to Board/Audit Committee

Key Details

Fiscal Year: April 1st to March 31st (beginning with 2026/2027 fiscal year)

Staff Size: 70

Accounting System: QuickBooks Online

Audit Timing: Fieldwork typically occurs in the months of May and June

Submission Requirements

(Maximum 2 Pages) Please limit your response to 2 pages total and include:

1. Firm & Experience – Relevant nonprofit audit experience (similar size/complexity)

2. Engagement Team – Who will lead and conduct the audit

3. Approach & Timeline – High-level audit approach and expected timing

4. Fees – Fixed fee for audit and any additional costs for a period of 3 complete fiscal years without unexpected increases

5. Nonprofit Clients – Name 2 nonprofit organizations you currently audit to provide references

6. Post-Audit support – Confirmation that bidder will, at no additional cost, respond to inquiries and support any government or regulatory review/testing of their audit work

Experience working with publicly funded or trauma-informed organizations is considered an asset.
