Request for Proposals
Statement of Purpose
The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is mandated by its Board of Directors to tender for audit services every five years and is seeking proposals from suitably qualified firms to provide annual audit services for CAMRT, as well as the CAMRT Foundation.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, September 30th, 2025. Please notify us by Aug 15th, 2025 to advise whether you intend to submit a proposal; please refer to the contact information at the end of this document.
About the CAMRT
CAMRT is the national association and certifying body for four medical radiation technology disciplines: radiological technology, nuclear medicine technology, magnetic resonance and radiation therapy.
Medical radiation technologists (MRTs) are essential members of healthcare teams providing vital imaging and therapy services to patients and healthcare colleagues for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.
Founded in 1942 the association currently has over 11,000 members. A twelve member board of directors sets policy and strategic direction for the CAMRT. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, 25 staff members at the CAMRT office in Canada deliver programs and services in the areas of education, member services, conferences and events, professional practice, finance and administration, advocacy, and communications.

About the CAMRT Foundation
While it is a separate entity from CAMRT, the CAMRT Foundation compliments and
enhances the educational activities of the professional association and its members
by:
- Promoting pride in the profession;
- Helping members keep abreast of new and emerging technologies;
- Advocating lifelong learning;
- Promoting excellence in patient care
All members of CAMRT obtain automatic membership in the Foundation at no additional fee. The Foundation is driven by a volunteer board of directors and receives secretariat support services from CAMRT for a nominal fee. The Foundation does not have any paid staff.
Corporate Status
CAMRT
CAMRT is incorporated under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (NFP Act) and is a non-soliciting corporation with revenues in excess of one million dollars. As such, CAMRT is required to have an annual audit conducted by a public accountant (as defined under the NFP Act)
CAMRT Foundation
The CAMRT Foundation is incorporated under the NFP Act, and is a non-soliciting corporation with revenues of less than one million dollars. While the Foundation is not required to have an annual audit, its membership has historically directed an annual audit and its board has historically recommended to the membership, the appointment of the same firm used by CAMRT.

CAMRT Foundation

Scope of Work/Deliverables
- A complete audit of the financial statements of CAMRT and the CAMRT Foundation;
- A complete set of audited statements for CAMRT in both English and French and in English for the CAMRT Foundation;
- Report to the Board of Directors of each organization, along with a teleconference with the CAMRT Finance Committee to deliver the report verbally;
- Preparation and submission of the annual return for CAMRT and the CAMRT Foundation;
- Annual audit timeline:
o Year-end audit: second week of February
o Completed reports and statements: fourth week of February

RFP released: August 1, 2025
Last day for questions/clarification: August 15, 2025
Proposals due: September 30, 2025
Evaluation of proposals: October 1-17, 2025
Contract negotiation and notice of award: November 3-14, 2025
Agreement term (fiscal years): 2026-2030
Proposal Requirements/Evaluation Criteria
- Competitive fees
o Please separate the quoted fees between CAMRT and the CAMRT Foundation.
o Please quote based on the assumption that services will be provided for the next five years (minimum) however, fees must be quoted and agreed to annually
o CAMRT reserves the right not to renew before the five-year term is completed without penalty. - Confirmation of ability to meet the annual audit timeline
