
Rehabilitation Volunteer
The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre is a 150 bed facility owned and operated by The Salvation Army. We specialize in complex continuing care, palliative care, slow paced rehabilitation and integrated transitional care services. The hospital is recognized for its innovative and holistic approach to patient care. We are conveniently located minutes from Yonge & Bloor Streets.
Rehabilitation Volunteer Opportunity
We are currently recruiting volunteers for our rehabilitation program to provide support with our weekday programs. This role provides students studying in a related discipline with a unique opportunity to gain experience in a rehab setting. Working alongside our rehabilitation staff, volunteers provide support with both group and individual programs. This role will be of particular interest to individuals who have an interest in physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Volunteers have an opportunity to work directly with patients (in non clinical activities), and also assist with preparing for groups, administrative tasks and support departmental projects based on the needs of the department and skill set of the volunteer.
Year Round Program Requirements
A minimum of one, 3 hour shifts per week for a period of one year. Shift options are Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

As a rehabilitation volunteer at the Toronto Grace Health Centre, you will become an important and integral member of the Rehabilitation team. A professional approach and dedicated commitment to the role is essential to success in this placement area.
