Nurse Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre (BQWCHC) – Belleville Site
Full Time Temporary Contract to January 29, 2027
$49,686 - $60,387/year – based on 35 hours/week
Job Summary: As part of an inter-disciplinary team nurses provide clinical care and clinical administrative functions to support the delivery of high-quality person-centered care to clients at all ages and stages of the life cycle with an emphasis on those who are high risk and/or are experiencing barriers to accessing services.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assists to triage primary care appointments
- Perform physical assessments, conduct health education, history taking, and other clinical activities according to the CNO standards of nursing practice
- Conduct clinical procedures with clients, within scope of practice and in accordance with CNO Standards and organizational procedures
- Uses a trauma informed approach to support clients and their families
- Participates in the development and implementation of medical directives, as appropriate and ensures related education and skills are up-to-date related to medical directives
- Assists with systems navigation and client advocacy among external health care partners, as appropriate
- Actively participates in assisting with preventative care/cancer screening activities
- Ensure clinical areas, resources, materials and equipment are ordered and maintained
- Ensures adherence to up-to-date CNO documentation and practice standards
- Participates as client advocate in a solutions-focused approach in case conferences and joint appointments, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing in Province of Ontario
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and Professional Liability Protection
- Experience working effectively with communities and individuals who face barriers accessing traditional health care institutions; experience with clients with mental health and addictions preferred
- Previous experience in a Primary Care setting preferred
- Experience with electronic health care records; experience using PS Suites an asset
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
- Professional, accountable, and focused on quality of care
- One evening per week -until 8pm (pre-scheduled)
