Job description

The Recruitment Coordinator is the first point of contact for those interested in volunteering at LandSeed and as such, is a critical role in representing the image and brand of LandSeed. The Recruitment Coordinator supports the full-cycle recruitment process by managing logistics, communication, and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams. This role is critical in maintaining an organized, efficient, and candidate-focused recruitment function.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Owning the full recruitment cycle process, from start to finish
  • Coordinating interview scheduling between candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
  • Communicating with candidates throughout the recruitment process to provide updates and ensure a positive experience.
  • Posting job openings on LandSeed career sites, job boards, and social media channels.
  • Reviewing applications and providing a long-list to hiring managers .
  • Maintaining and updating applicant tracking to ensure accurate and compliant candidate data.
  • Working collaboratively with the People Matter(s) team to prepare offer letters, conduct background checks if necessary and onboarding logistics.
  • Tracking and reporting recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire, candidate pipeline).
  • Collaborating with the People Matter(s) team and hiring managers to continuously improve the recruitment process.
  • Representing LandSeed at career fairs, recruitment events, and university partnerships.
  • Performing other administrative and Human Resources support duties as required.

Required skills and qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), or
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Ideally, in the process of obtaining RPR certification, or
  • In the process of obtaining CHRP

Experience

  • Up to 2 years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR administration, or talent acquisition support.
  • Prior experience working for a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization, an asset

Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), ideally, in both official languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot when priorities change
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools, Slack
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Customer-service mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
