Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel (BHC) raises funds to support rehabilitating, rebuilding, and enhancing the lives of Israelis disabled in the line of duty or through acts of terror. The Raiser’s Edge and RENXT Database Administrator works directly with the BHC CEO. We are looking for a skilled, discreet, and organized individual to join our team on a full-time basis.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
- Administration of the organization’s Raiser’s Edge NXT (RENXT) donor database, ensuring that it is managed effectively, efficiently, and accurately
- Issue and produce tax receipts in a consistent and timely manner
- Regular gift batch entry
- Regular gift payment and tax receipt processing
- Regular production of assorted mailing lists and reports
- Acts as a RENXT subject matter resource for internal users
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Blackbaud hosted Raiser’s Edge NXT database (approximately 65,000 constituent records)
- Regular gift data batch entry (approximately 11,000 gifts per year)
- Ensure all gifts are processed via credit card, online, stocks/securities, EFTs, and bank deposits
- Regularly create and issue mailed tax receipts and e-receipts throughout the year, while adhering to CRA guidelines. Includes one-time gifts and annual consolidated receipts
- Manage the Events module: participants, registrants, guests
- Create and manage online NXT donation forms and events registration forms
- Speak with donors to resolve issues and queries regarding tax receipts and other donation questions
- Export a variety of mailing and emailing marketing data lists as required
- Create reports as needed for data analysis
- Maintain current fund and appeal coding; code tables
- Participate as staff for all off-site local special events
- Participate in annual financial audit
- Work with office volunteers to ensure tax receipts are regularly mailed and phoned-in credit cards are processed
- Train and support staff with RENXT where necessary
- Keep current with RENXT updates through use of Blackbaud’s Knowledgebase
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three (3) years Raiser’s Edge advanced user database administration
- RENXT experience is an asset but can be trained for if applicant is skilled with the regular Raiser’s Edge database
- Strong familiarity with current CRA tax receipt rules for charities
- Ability to produce advanced reports, exports, and query functions
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to speak with external donors
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a small team environment made up of staff and volunteers
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and maintain donor privacy

Work Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, Friday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm EST
